Hello Professional World..!

 
My Life-dream was to teach in an academic schoool.. My Professional-dream was to master what I’m doing.. My personal one was was simply to be happy..
Today, I’m miles away from my life dream, as the passion to learn and research took me away from obtatining the “formal” degrees to qualify for teaching..!
Also, I could not be happy; while the world is continuously and increasingly boiling with greed, unjustice, poverty and broader disappointment..!
Only my professional goal is done, while proudly mastering the entire value chain of the built environment.. Alhamdulilah..
 
 
 
 
CENTROID
 
Everything has a Center of Gravity, a Base for Growth, a Point of Reference, a Starting point to Shape, a Core for Activities, a Coordinate to Build, a Referral for Audit, or a Meaning for own Being.. Something exclusively and conclusively attributes.. So, I collect all, mold together and came up with Centroid.. It was the name I created for my design studio in Khartoum in 1989.. Lately, it was the name of my Corporate Theory.. Yes, it had some metaphysical and Sufi contents; but not tasty for anyone..!! However, Today’s knowledge is widely integrated; and none works independently anymore.. This is the merit of new UK syllabus for combined research degrees..!! Later, I discovered a whole world of theories under the name of  Centroid.. However, it add more depth to my own concept..
 
 

 

The Quardu-Focal Concept:

Along the journey, many theories, principles and applications were taken to the testing field. Some were proven great, others were less lucky. Therefore; I had come with my own quardu-focal framework. The common parameters for constituting a conclusive framework for a project, a business or anything else; are always set within four edges:   

  • Scope; or what is wished, required or planned to be materialistically delivered; either a service or a product..
  • Duration; or the time required to perform the task or required to deliver  the agreed scope..
  • Cost; as simply as everything runs between CAPEX & OPEX to determine viability or feasibility to do it..
  • Business Merit; or both intangible and tangible pros & cons in this endeavor; which envlope the journey from launch to delivery..

Therefore; it is “S, D, C & B”.. a four distinctive areas of professional knowledge that requires at least four assigned staff to deliver it.. This is how your staff sourcing and planning is launched.. For editorial adjustment it became S, B, C & D.. Then, for another particular technical adjustment, the scope is replaced by “Area”, which is the main element in scoping Projects, Developments, Facilities and Heritage.. yet, this does not provoke the principle that “A” would cover delivery scope for outsourced partners and associates.. Now you may read it as “A, B, C & D”  

  

Why Open-Sharing?: 

I had a dear friend, who shared the wonderful experiences in Dubai during its peak achievements.. She is extremely professional, dedicated to her assignments, and takes the world seriously enough.. Despite her German precision, she is an adorable person, who attracts anyone with her humble and relaxed smiles.. Once; she decided to embrace Islam, after long readings, debates and investigations.. Then; she posted on her  business web-site , lots of technical tools for free; which people would pay lots of money to have their hand on them.. Simply, she believed in sharing, which is an authentic Islamic value that many born-Muslims ignore..!! She inspired me.. to do the same..!! I do acknowledge her good-doing.. and her role in my life, Technically, Spiritually, and Personally.. Believing, how she is one of her own kind.. yet many do not know.. On this earthy-life, our endeavor is not competing each other.. but sharing the knowledge towards its optimum goal: Appreciating the Mighty Creator, who allowed us to know, understand, and develop.. The only intellectual species on earth..!! If this blog adds any value to you, please appreciate her in your prayers.. if not; it is my own incompetence..!!    

 

The Human Factor 

I sincerely believe that no endeavor will observe the life without human inputs, small or big; humble or great; active or passive.. Therefore, al theories should adapt solutions to assure motivated complacent, and attached people who are entrusted to carry on the task. Ironically, Technical Management is mostly about addressing materialistic products, yet the route for delivery starts and ends with people who perform the tasks.. This is where things would go right or wrong.. Satisfactorily delivered or not.. Appreciated by end-users or cursed..!! Thus, all my concepts, processes and KPIs are about the people, and secured tools for them to perform, with great sense of personal benefits once get on board.. Maybe this has a lot to do with my Sudanese culture of equality and humbleness, my Islamic culture of mercy and competences, or my Knowledge culture of scope and WBS..

    My dear Adil, again your focus and technical expertise (in blogging this time) never ceases to amaze me. You have so much to share and give and I think you have made a great start with this initiative! Like you rightly acknowledge and recognise sharing of information is vital – because anyway, person who uses your tools and frameworks needs to understand and apply, the latter being the challenge in most cases. All business schools teach Porter’s models or Kaplan’s strategy map – putting it into practice is what counts – so go ahead and share the knowledge and make sure you also make it clear that YOU are the one who can make your frameworks and models work with success!!! so leave contact details!!! and publish all this on Linked In, GLG Council etc…
